For larger areas exposed to exhaust heat, Maier's Heat Tile is also available as a single 6" x 12" strip rather than the smaller two-piece standard kit. The adhesive-backed aluminized fiberglass handles 400°F of constant heat or 500°F intermittent, protecting plastic side panels, air scoops, and similar parts from warping or discoloring near a hot pipe. A straightforward, low-cost way to keep heat damage off the bodywork.
