The full synthetic oil change kits listed here are 20W50 and are made for Harley-Davidson engine families, such as M8, Evolution and Sportster, and Twin Cam, with a chrome or black filter. Check the viscosity your manual calls for, since 20W50 is not right for every engine. Oil change hardware kits are listed for Honda and for Gas Gas, Husqvarna and KTM. Plug sockets come in thin-wall sizes of 14, 16, 18 and 21 mm, to fit the hex of a spark plug sitting in a narrow recess, and stud tools are listed in M6 and M10 thread sizes, which must match the stud.

FAQs on motorcycle service kits
What oil weight should I use in my motorcycle?
Use the viscosity and specification in the owner's manual. A 20W50 oil, which appears in the kits here, is not right for every engine. Also check whether your bike shares oil between engine and clutch.
Why do spark plug sockets come in thin-wall versions?
Many motorcycle spark plugs sit deep in narrow holes, and a thin-wall socket fits where a standard one will not. The hex size, such as 14, 16, 18 or 21 mm, must match your plug.
What does a stud remover and installer tool do?
It grips the threaded stud so it can be turned out or run in without a pair of nuts or damage to the threads. Choose the size, such as M6 or M10, that matches the stud thread.
What should I do with used motor oil and filters?
Take them to a recycling center, or to an auto parts store or shop that accepts used oil. Do not pour oil on the ground or into drains. Keep it in a sealed container until you drop it off.
