Warn Winches, Plow Mounts and Recovery Gear for ATVs and UTVs

Warn is winch-and-plow country. We list about 255 Warn products, nearly all in Towing, Recovery & Accessories, split between Winches and Plows, with a smaller run of bumpers and roll-bar accessories. Polaris appears in about 40 titles, Honda in 22, Can-Am in 17 and Yamaha in 15.

Warn's own history page says Arthur Warn founded the company in 1948 in Seattle, that it began with locking hubs for surplus World War II Jeeps, and that all of its business and manufacturing moved to Clackamas, Oregon, in 2018.

Winches, by series

About 26 complete winches are listed, named by series, with synthetic or wire rope.

VRX. About a dozen listings, with a handlebar rocker switch, such as the VRX 25-S with synthetic rope and the VRX 35 with wire rope.

Axon. The Axon 45-S with synthetic rope sits beside the Axon 35, 45, 55 and 45RC, and seven more are marked "with plow mode," such as the Axon 35 with plow mode.

R-series and Vantage. The R25-S and R45 are the R-series examples. Older steel-cable names include the Vantage 2000 steel cable winch and the ProVantage 3500 steel cable winch. There are also 750 lb drill winches.

Mounts, plow kits and bumpers

Winch mounts. About 50 mount listings, written by machine, for example the RZR and General mount, the Honda Talon mount, the Mule SX mount and the Can-Am X3 mount.

Plow mounting kits. The deepest group, about 85 listings, most of them ProVantage front or center kits and each tied to specific models and years. Examples are the front kit for the 2020 Kawasaki Teryx KRX 1000, the Yamaha Wolverine front kit, the Grizzly 4x4 kit and the center kit for the Can-Am Outlander Max 800. Plow wear bars are sold separately, in 48 inch and 54 inch steel lengths. The catalog has mounting kits and wear bars, but no complete plow blades.

Bumpers. Twelve listings, including the front bumper for the Polaris Ranger 900 XP, the rear winch bumper and the front bumper winch mount for the 2024 Can-Am Maverick R. They are filed in Bumpers & Parts.

Ropes, fairleads and the small parts

Replacement ropes come in both materials: the synthetic winch rope in 8 foot, the wire rope and Axon rope upgrade kits. Fairleads include the Epic fairlead in short and long, the Pro-Vantage 4500 fairlead and the Vantage 4000 fairlead. Spares and controls run to contactors, wireless receivers, the wireless remote switch and the dash rocker switch. Recovery pieces include the hook with strap, a shackle, a snatch block and cable cushions in six colors.

Cab accessories include the roll bar grab handle, a grab handle bag, a fire extinguisher holder and a Molle panel.

Matching Warn parts to your machine

Winch mounts and plow kits are the model-specific pieces, so read the machine and year range in the title first. Contactors and fairleads name the winch series they fit, such as Vantage 2000 or Pro-Vantage 4500.

Warn questions

What does "-S" mean in a winch name? In the Warn titles it marks synthetic rope, while the same model without it is listed with wire rope.

Is a plow mounting kit the whole plow? No. The listings are mounting kits for a Warn plow system, with wear bars sold on their own, so check what the title says before ordering.

Do these fit side-by-sides as well as ATVs? Yes. Titles name the Ranger, RZR, General, Talon, Mule, Wolverine, Maverick and Teryx alongside ATVs such as the Sportsman, Rancher and Grizzly.
