FAQ — Pro Pipe Exhaust
+ How loud is the Pro Pipe Exhaust — is there a decibel rating?
Vance & Hines does not publish an official decibel rating for this exhaust, so we won't guess a number here. Expect a noticeably louder, deeper exhaust note than stock. If you're subject to a local sound-ordinance limit, check your state/local regulations, since we can't confirm a dB figure to compare against.
+ Does this exhaust increase horsepower?
Vance & Hines states the PCX™ (Power Chamber Exhaust) technology and chambered high-flow catalyst cartridge are designed to increase torque. The brand doesn't publish a specific horsepower or torque number for this system, so we won't quote one here — if exact dyno figures matter to your decision, ask us using the chat widget on this page and we'll help track down what's available.
+ What's included in the box?
This is a complete Pro Pipe 2-into-1 system with full coverage heat shields, mounting hardware, and installation instructions. It's 49-state emissions compliant.
+ Can I run a quiet or competition baffle with this exhaust?
Not the quiet baffle 21906 (part 1861-1110) or the competition baffle 21904 (part 1861-0793) — Vance & Hines specifically notes this system is not compatible with either. Ask us using the chat widget on this page if you need a baffle recommendation that does fit.
+ Will this fit my Tri Glide or Freewheeler?
No — Vance & Hines specifically states this exhaust will not fit 2017-2022 Tri Glide or Freewheeler models, even though those share the Touring platform with models this exhaust does cover.
+ Will this fit my bike — do the years matter?
Yes, fitment is year- and model-specific. This exhaust fits 20 Harley-Davidson Touring models spanning 2017-2025, including Electra Glide, Road King (including Road King Police), Street Glide, and Road Glide (including Road Glide Police) variants, with the exact years covered varying by model. Use the Fitment tab above or set your bike in the Ride Finder at the top of the page and we'll confirm the exact match before you order.
