FAQ — 3” Twin Slash Slip-On Muffler - Chrome
+ How loud is this muffler — is there a decibel rating?
Vance & Hines does not publish an official decibel rating for this muffler, so we won't guess a number here. Expect a noticeably louder, deeper exhaust note than stock. If you're subject to a local sound-ordinance limit, check your state/local regulations.
+ What's included in the box?
This is a complete 3” Twin Slash Slip-On Muffler - Chrome, including mounting hardware and installation instructions.
+ Will this fit my Softail — do the years matter?
Yes, fitment is year- and model-specific. This muffler fits 4 models spanning 2018-2024, including FLDE Deluxe 107, FLHC Heritage Classic 107, FLHCS Heritage Classic 114, and FLI Hydra-Glide Revival, with the exact years covered varying by model. Use the Fitment tab above or set your bike in the Ride Finder at the top of the page and we'll confirm the exact match before you order.
+ Does the other finish version fit the same bikes as this one?
No — we checked both listings' live Fitment tabs directly, and they're not identical. This Chrome SKU additionally fits the FLDE Deluxe 107 (2018-2020), which the Black SKU does not list. Always confirm fitment against the specific SKU you're ordering (VANCE & HINES - 46379 - Twin Slash Slip-On Mufflers - PCX - Black) rather than assuming the two finishes match.

If your exact vehicle isn't listed, or you're not sure, use the product chat on this page or contact our support team before ordering - we're glad to help confirm fitment.
What does it mean if a product is listed as universal fit?
Universal fit means the product is designed to work across a range of vehicles, not that it's guaranteed to fit every one. Compare the listed measurements, mounting requirements, and connector or hardware specs against your specific vehicle before ordering, since some installations may need additional hardware or minor fabrication.
