About Mounts, Brackets & Hardware

Racks, clamps, brackets and hardware kits are what let you carry cargo and attach gear to a UTV or ATV. Owners shop here to add a rack, tie down a load, fix a lost bracket or mount an accessory in a spot the machine does not provide.

Strap clamps are sold by diameter, in sizes such as 1.625, 1.75 and 2.5 inches, so measure the tube you want to clamp to and match it. Cargo racks are made for specific models, such as the Polaris RZR 570, Sportsman 1000 and Honda Pioneer 500, while universal rack hardware kits and replacement hardware kits suit jobs where you are building or repairing. You will also find aluminum bed boxes, tie-down anchors, a radio jack mount and a sun visor. Check the weight rating on any rack. For parts made for a model, pick your machine in the Ride Finder at the top of the page.

Brands here include Hornet, Warn, SDI, Axia and Rigid Industries. Related categories are Bumpers & Parts, Grab Bars & Handles, Dashboards, Consoles & Parts and Other Body & Frame, all part of Body & Frame.

FAQs on mounts, brackets and hardware

How do I choose the right size strap clamp?

Measure the outside diameter of the tube the clamp will wrap around, and choose the clamp size listed for that diameter. A clamp that is too large will slip, and one that is too small will not close. Use the hardware that comes with it.

Is a model-specific cargo rack better than a universal kit?

A rack made for your model is designed to bolt to the machine's existing mounting points. A universal hardware kit is for builds and repairs where you are adapting parts yourself. If a rack exists for your exact model, it is usually the simpler route.

How much weight can a cargo rack carry?

The rating is stated on the listing and in your owner's manual. Check both and stay within the lower number. Keep the load low and centered, strap it down, and remember that a heavy load changes how the machine handles.

What are tie-down anchors for?

Tie-down anchors give you a fixed point for straps on a rack or bed, so cargo does not shift. Check the listing for the machine it fits and how it mounts, and use straps rated for the weight you are carrying.

Do brackets and mounts come with their bolts?

Many do, and some are sold as a separate hardware kit. Read the listing to see what is included. When you replace fasteners, use the same size and grade as the originals, and recheck them after the first ride.
