Trask Exhausts, Air Cleaners and Engine Covers for Harley-Davidson

Trask is a Harley-Davidson specialist: nearly every one of the 240 or so listings names a Big Twin, Softail, Touring or Twin Cam/M8 fitment, with a short run for Indian. Most sit in Exhaust & Emission Systems, with air filters, engine covers, clutch parts and handlebars filling out the rest.

Trask's own About page says the company is led by founder Nick Trask, works from a Phoenix headquarters, and designs and builds its parts there, naming exhaust systems, air cleaners, engine components and turbo kits.

Exhaust systems

More than 60 listings are full systems in Exhaust System Kits. The names are the way in. The 2-into-1 Assault comes in stainless and black, with versions for Softail M8 and Touring M8. The Big Sexy is listed by year range, such as the Big Sexy for '17-'24 in black and the Big Sexy for '07-'16 in raw stainless. The Up Yours and BMF each have a Twin Cam and an M8 version, for example the Up Yours M8 in chrome and the BMF M8 in black. Smaller pieces include the Down Under head pipe for M8 Touring and slip-on mufflers for the Indian Scout.

Air cleaners and breathers

Two families cover most of the intake listings. Assault Charge has more than 30 entries across flat black, gloss black, chrome, raw and reverse cut, such as the high-flow air cleaner in raw and the kit version. Big Papi has 11, all marked Gen 2 M8, including the chrome Big Papi for '17-'25. Add-ons include the external breather kit for M8, a Twin Cam breather kit, a replacement Assault Charge filter and a rain sock.

Covers, clutch and hardware

About 30 listings are Derby covers, the largest being the Assault Derby Cover with window for Softail and versions for Big Twin '99-'18 and Touring/Trike. Kits pair a cover with a Power Plate in two-tone colors. Engine Covers holds the Assault cam cover in raw machined for M8, the Twin Cam version in chrome and the CheckM8 vented transmission cover. Clutch pieces include the M8 clutch basket and the hydraulic clutch actuator cover. The Bitchin' Bolts titanium hardware kit is sold complete for the M8 driveline, with separate kits for single covers.

Handlebars, frame and turbo kits

There are ten V-Line 1-1/4 inch handlebars, among them the Moto in black for '86-'20, and seven Bro Bars such as the chrome Bro Bar for '18-'22 Indian. Frame covers like the TM-2061 for FL and a touring tail section are in Body & Frame. The turbo option is the Tornado Turbo Performance Kit for M8, with a CVO Street Glide and Low Rider ST version.

Trask questions

How do I tell Twin Cam from M8 parts? Engine and year range sit in the title. The cam covers read '01-'17 for Twin Cam and '18-'24 for M8, and the exhausts say Twin Cam or M8 outright.

What do the finish names mean? Titles spell out the finish, such as Raw, Reverse Cut, Gloss Black or Chrome.

Are the Bitchin' Bolts sold in one kit? There is a complete driveline kit and separate kits for individual covers, so pick the one that matches the cover you are changing.
