RENTHAL
Renthal Sprockets, Handlebars and Grips
Renthal is two shelves of parts that wear out or get bent: the sprockets that sit at both ends of the chain and the bars and grips you hold. We list about 820 Renthal products, roughly 385 of them in Sprockets and about 200 in Handlebars, with chains, grips, bar pads and handguards making up the rest.
According to the company's own history page, Renthal was founded in 1969 by Andrew Renshaw and Henry Rosenthal, started with handlebars for trials bikes, and began full-time production in Manchester, UK, in 1975.
Sprockets and chains
Rear sprockets. The biggest group, close to 290 listings, mostly aluminum and sold by tooth count and color. Examples include the 49-tooth black rear sprocket for Yamaha, the 51-tooth silver sprocket for Husqvarna, Sherco, Gas Gas and Beta and the 44-tooth orange sprocket. About three dozen are Twinring versions, such as the Twinring 49-tooth in silver.
Front sprockets. Over 110 listings. Many are grooved, including the 14-tooth grooved sprocket for the CRF450 and the 13-tooth grooved sprocket for the CRF250R/RX. About a dozen are Ultralight, like the 13-tooth Suzuki sprocket.
Chains and links. Renthal chains are listed in Final Drive Belts & Chains: road chains such as the 520 R4 SRS with 110 links, the 530 R4-2 SRS with 130 links, ATV chains like the 520 R4 Z-Ring with 110 links, and separate connecting links.
Handlebars, grips and pads
Handlebars. Renthal names each bar by number and bend, so the model is in the title: the Twinwall 997 for RC, 2004-2018 CRF and 2006+ KX/F, the Twinwall 996 Villopoto/Steward/2019+ CRF, the Fatbar 609 RC High and the 7/8-inch bar 809 RC High. ATV riders can start with the Fatbar 819 for the Yamaha YFZ450 or browse ATV and UTV handlebars.
Grips and pads. Grips, Covers & Pads holds the MX Original lock-on grips, the R-Works lock-on grips and street dual-compound grips. Crossbar pads include the Fatbar36 pad, the Vintage SX pad and the Mini pad. There are also Moto handguards and rubber-mounted bar clamps.
Match the part before you order
Sprocket titles carry the pitch (420, 428, 520, 525 or 530), tooth count and a brand or model. Check the chain size on your bike first and keep the tooth count in mind if you change gearing. For bars, match the model on the listing and the bar diameter, since 7/8-inch and Fatbar listings are separate.
Renthal questions
How do I read a Renthal sprocket listing? The title gives the chain pitch (such as 520), the tooth count, the color where there is one, and the bike brand or model, so compare those against your chain and bike.
Are the front sprockets sold in pairs with the rear? No, front and rear sprockets are separate listings.
Do you list Renthal for ATVs? Yes, including the YFZ450 Fatbar, ATV Z-Ring chains and ATV grips.
