PINLOCK
Pinlock Visor Inserts
A Pinlock lens is the clear insert that sits inside a helmet visor, and the right one depends on the visor it clips into. We list 33 Pinlock lenses in Visor Inserts, split between the 70, the 120, the 120XLT and the PrecisionTone, and most titles name the helmet or visor code they fit.
On its own site, Pinlock describes the lens as a moisture-absorbing surface that attracts and stores water molecules, paired with an airtight seal that forms a thermal barrier so the visor does not fog.
Shop by lens type
Pinlock 70. The largest group, about 15 listings. Some name a helmet line, such as the 70 Lens for Airflite, the 70 Lens for Optics and Airframe/Airmada and the 70 MaxVision for GT6-1 and K3. Several others are listed by part number only, like the 000662 70 Lens.
Pinlock 120. About 10 listings, including the 120 MaxVision for AGV, the 120 MaxVision for VAS-V and Arai and the 120 Lens for VAS-Z and Ram-X. A retailer guide to the system, RAD, explains that the number is how long the anti-fog layer takes to saturate under constant vapor and condensation, so the 120 is meant to stay effective longer than the 70.
120XLT and PrecisionTone. Two 120XLT MaxVision lenses and six PrecisionTone MaxVision lenses round out the range. The PrecisionTone listings include the DKS246 version and the VAS-A/TX-5 version.
Match the lens to the visor
A Pinlock lens is made for visors designed to take one, so first confirm yours is. Then match the lens by the helmet name, the DKS code or the part number in the title. Where a listing shows only a number, such as 002024, look up which helmet that number belongs to before ordering. MaxVision appears in about two-thirds of the titles, so it is worth reading the full name of the lens you pick.
Pinlock questions
What do the 70 and 120 mean? They are lens ratings. The 120 is the longer-lasting of the two, according to RAD's explanation, and each is a separate listing here.
Which lens fits my helmet? Look for your helmet or visor in the title. If it only shows a number or DKS code, check the helmet maker's fitment list for that code.
Is the lens sold with a visor? No, these listings are the lens only.
