ODI

ODI Grips, Handlebars and Throttle Parts

ODI is the grip brand to start with if your hands are the problem: slippery rubber, a torn waffle pattern, or a throttle tube that has gone loose. The catalog here is about 510 ODI products, and the largest share sits in Handlebars, Grips & Controls, with a smaller set in UTV and ATV steering parts and a dozen or so for personal watercraft.

Mountain Bike Action's brand-story piece says Herb and Kay Guerr started ODI in Torrance, California, and that the company keeps its tooling, production and packaging in-house.

Grips, by style

Lock-on grips. The biggest group, with roughly 150 listings. Lock-ons clamp to the bar instead of being glued, and ODI names its styles, so the title tells you the feel. The Emig Pro V2 Lock-On Grips, Recoil grips and Micro-X Half-Waffle v2 grips are examples for dirt bikes, and the V2 Rogue Lock-On Grips come in the same family as the Rogue single-ply ATV grips.

Half-waffle, Hart-Luck and Vans grips. Not every ODI grip is a lock-on in the title: the Ruffian half-waffle grips in red and the Hart-Luck grips in blue are listed this way, alongside the Vans grips in 7/8" and the Vans grips in 1" Oxblood.

V-twin street grips. About 75 listings carry the Street, Hart-Luck or V-Twin names, and the titles split them into TBW and Cable versions. See the Ruffian Lock-On Street Grips for cable throttles, the Ruffian TBW version in graphite/black and the Hart-Luck TBW grips for '08-'24 Harley-Davidson.

ATV and PWC. The Ruffian 2.1 ATV/PWC grips and the Ruffian PWC lock-ons without a flange cover quads and watercraft.

Handlebars, throttle parts and extras

Handlebars. About 80 bar listings across Handlebars and ATV and UTV handlebars. The Podium line includes the CFT Podium Handlebar for Honda and Kawasaki, the Podium Flight bar for OE KTM and the Podium Flight ATV bar in 1-1/8". Cruiser riders can look at the V-Twin MOTO Handlebar in 1", and there is a 7/8" ATV MX bar.

Throttle tubes and cams. Throttle Controls has the Fusion Throttle Tube and Fusion Pro, plus V2 throttle cams listed by bike, such as the cam for Cobra, Gas Gas, Husqvarna and KTM.

Pads, clamps and small-bike kits. The Oversized Handlebar Pad, Lock Jaw clamps and the PeeWee Podium Handlebar Upgrade Kit round out the range.

Match the grip to the bar and throttle

Start with bar diameter: the Vans grips and the 7/8" ATV bar are listed by size, and the V-Twin MOTO bars come in 1" and 1-1/8". On a Harley, read whether the title says Cable or TBW (throttle-by-wire) and check the years, because those versions are separate listings. Grip titles also end in a color pairing such as Black/Silver.

ODI questions

What does lock-on mean? The grip is held to the bar by clamps rather than adhesive, so it can be removed and refitted.

Do I need a different grip for TBW? Cable and TBW versions are separate listings, so pick the one that names your system and years.

Do you carry ODI for ATVs and watercraft? Yes, including ATV lock-ons, ATV bars and PWC grips.
