NAMZ Wire, Connectors and Harness Extensions for Harley-Davidson

NAMZ is where a wiring job gets sorted out: the right connector, the right gauge of wire or an extension harness for your bike. We list about 810 NAMZ products, nearly all under Motorcycle, with about 390 in Wiring Harnesses, Cables & Connectors and roughly 125 more in Other Electrical & Ignition Components. Harley-Davidson Touring, Softail and Sportster fitments lead the titles, with about 20 listings for Indian.

NAMZ's own About page says the company grew out of its first stainless steel braided wiring harness for motorcycles and makes custom and OEM motorcycle electrics, including harnesses, connectors, terminals, wire, heat shrink, switches and fuses.

Wire, loom and shrink tubing

About 80 listings are wire spools. The 25-foot GXL spools run about 32 titles, such as the 12 gauge in orange and the 10 gauge in black. About 50 are 100-foot spools, including the 18 gauge in red and the 20 gauge in white/black. The 16 gauge cloth-braided wire comes in a 25-foot spool, one of 14 cloth-braided colors. For covering wire, there are woven split loom and 3/16 inch shrink tubing.

Connectors and builder kits

Connectors are named by family and pin count. Molex MX 150 has about 30 listings, like the 8 pin male in black. Deutsch plugs and seals run about 40, including the 3 pin black plug and crimp sockets. The AMP Mate-n-Lock 12 pin male for '71-'95 sits among about 17 Mate-n-Lock titles. Delphi pieces include the throttle control connector.

If you would rather buy a set, six builder kits cover the common families: the Molex MX kit, the Deutsch kit, the AMP Mate-n-Lock kit and the Delphi/AMP kit. Terminals and tools sit alongside, such as ring terminals, a universal crimp tool and a Molex terminal removal tool.

Extension harnesses

About 75 titles say extension, and they are the part to read most carefully. Handlebar wiring extensions come in several lengths, like the 12 inch CAN Bus version for '11-'24. Speedometer and instrument harnesses include the 15 inch extension, and the front turn signal extension comes in several lengths. About 17 titles are throttle-by-wire, among them the extension harness for '16-'24, the connector kit and the twist grip sensor for '08-'13. Tour-Pak wiring has its own listings, like the 2014-2024 wiring kit.

Modules, isolators and regulators

About 25 titles carry LEQ, the load equalizer, in hard-wire and Plug'nPlay versions, such as the Plug'nPlay Super LEQ for '04-'13 Sportster models. The self-canceling turn signal module for '73-'91 is a separate listing. About 20 are trailer isolators, including the 5-wire module for '14-'20 FL models. Voltage Regulators & Rectifiers holds about 37, including regulators for the 1970-1975 Electra Glide and Super Glide and the 1989-1999 models. Fuses include the mini fuse kit, 40 pieces.

Indian and other fitments

Indian listings include the 15 inch handlebar extension harness and the 5-wire trailer isolator harness. A few Polaris pieces, like the fan override switch, appear too. Milled oil sending unit covers are among the few non-wiring items.

NAMZ questions

How do I match an extension harness? Check the length, the model years and whether the title says CAN Bus, since each model can have several extension lengths listed.

Are connectors sold with terminals? Some are, some are not. Titles say pin count, male or female and pack size, and the Connector Kit titles say "w/ Terminals".

Where do I check fitment? Read the year range at the end of the title and compare the connector family to the one on your harness.
