Designed to seal exhaust joint on the muffler when repacking or - if needed - where the muffler attaches to the header pipe, essential for riders on public lands where non-compliant exhaust means getting turned away at the trailhead. Effectively seals the exhaust system against vapor and engine residue leaks at couplings, keeping the exhaust note within acceptable limits. Max operation temperature is 1800°F, preventing cracking and loosening from high-vibration use. Woven silica tape, keeping weight in check. Direct bolt-on fit for the appropriate applications. Sold as a pair.
