For the CS type, the liner in the cylinder's original barrel must be bored out completely, without attempting to push out the cast-in liner. The RS type provides an original barrel with a replacement sleeve, offering a seamless upgrade. The AC type caters to original cylinder bores with alloy-chrome plated, nikasil, or electrofused coating, requiring boring to accept the new sleeve.
