ICON

Icon Helmets, Jackets, Gloves and Armor

Icon is a brand where the helmet name matters as much as the size: Airform, Airflite, Airframe Pro, Ultraflite, Domain, Threshold and Elsinore all have their own shields, side plates and liners, and the parts are sold separately. We list about 730 Icon products, nearly all in Apparel | Protective Gear, split between helmets and helmet parts and riding gear.

According to Gear Patrol, Icon Motorsports was founded in 2002 in Portland, Oregon, and began as an after-hours experiment by design director Kurt Walter.

Helmets by model

About 75 complete helmets are listed in Motorcycle & Powersport Helmets, and each model comes in a long run of graphics. Airform is the largest, with about 23 listings, such as the Airform with MIPS in Counterstrike blue and the Airform in Old Glory. Airframe Pro (about 12) includes the Outbreak in blue, while Airflite (about 10) has the GP23 in green and Ultraflite (about 10) the Misanthrope with MIPS in black. Roughly 30 helmet titles mention MIPS, so check the name for it.

The Threshold modular helmet in gloss black is one of seven in Modular Helmets. The Domain in Rubatone and the Elsinore in Magnacross round out the street and dirt side.

Shields, liners and replacement parts

Helmet Parts holds over 200 listings. About 80 are side plates, such as the Variant side plates, and roughly 75 are shields, including the Optics 22.06 shield. Pinlock lenses come as Pinlock 70 lenses and ProtecTINT lenses. Interiors are broken out too: about 30 liners, like the Alliance Hydradry liner, plus cheek pads and about 30 rear spoilers, such as the Airform rear spoiler.

Jackets, gloves, boots and armor

About 90 listings are jackets. Leather options include the Overlord3 and the Mesh AF leather jacket, and textile ones the Hooligan and Contra3. Women's versions are separate listings, such as the Women's Hooligan CE jacket.

Around 50 gloves run from the Twenty-Niner CE to the Hypersport short gloves, and the Carga boots lead the roughly 30 boots and shoes. Armor in Protective Gear includes the Field Armor Stryker vest, the Cloverleaf 2 CE knee pads and about 45 D3O guards such as the LP1 guard. Casual wear includes the Clasicon T-shirt and Sidewall beanie.

Matching parts to the helmet

Shield and pad titles name the helmet, often several at once, as in "Airform/Airmada/Airframe Pro". Liners and cheek pads are listed by size, such as XS or 2XS. Read the model on the part against the name on your helmet's shell.

Icon questions

Do the helmets list DOT or ECE? Titles don't state certifications, so check each listing's details. Our helmet standards guide explains the labels.

Can I replace just a shield or liner? Yes, both have their own listings, as do side plates and spoilers.

Does Icon come in women's sizes? Women's jackets, gloves and vests are listed separately, with Women's in the title.
