Goodridge Brake Lines, Banjo Fittings and Fuel Lines for Harley-Davidson and Universal Use

Goodridge pages are mostly a question of length and fitting: a kit cut for one Harley model, or a universal line you size yourself. We list about 525 Goodridge products, all under Motorcycle. Roughly 195 sit in Brake Lines, Hoses & Fittings, and another 195 are filed in Other Handlebars, Grips & Controls, mostly Harley kits and universal lines.

Manufacturing Today reports that Goodridge Ltd. was founded in 1971 by Stuart Goodridge in Totnes, Devon, starting with motorsport brake lines and PTFE-lined hoses.

Harley-Davidson brake line kits

About 50 titles use the Econoline name and about 24 are single front kits, with 43 tri front kits for dual-disc bikes. Titles give the model codes and the year range. Examples are the Ebony single front kit for FLSTF and Fat Boy, '86-'11, the Ebony tri front kit for FLHT, '96-'07, the Econoline tri front kit for FLHX and the Econoline tri front kit for XL1200R and 883R. Around 50 listings carry a length option of +4, +6, +8, +10 or +12 in the name.

Newer bikes are in there too. About 34 titles mention ABS, such as the Street Bob front line, '14-'17 ABS, the Low Rider front line, '18-'20 ABS +8 and the Softail Standard front line, '22-'24 +4. Other kits include the front brake hose kit for FLH, '96-'07 and the rear kit for FLH and FLT, '97-'07.

Universal brake lines and hose

About 100 universal brake lines run by length in inches, from 9" up to 75", in Ebony, Black, Clear and Stainless Steel. Look at the 11" stainless line, the 14" Ebony line, the 38" Black line, the 48" Clear line and the 73" stainless line. If you would rather cut your own, the Ebony brake hose by the foot is listed in 12 and 25 foot lengths, and hose finishers come in black, chrome and blue.

Fittings, banjos and bleeders

Banjos are the biggest accessory group, about 89 titles across straight, 35, 45 and 90 degree angles in 3/8" and M10 or M12. Pick from the straight Ebony banjo, the 35 degree chrome banjo and the universal AN3 banjo adaptor. There are about 30 banjo bolts, including the brake switch banjo bolt in M10x1.25, plus the ABS tube adapter for '14-'21 touring and the universal stainless brake tee. Nine two-pack speed bleeders cover models such as the Kawasaki set and the Gold Wing set.

Clutch, fuel and oil lines

Eleven clutch listings include the 65-inch stainless clutch line, an AN3 version at 77 inches and the HD M10 clutch adaptor. In Fuel Hoses, Lines & Pipes there are the clear touring fuel line kit, the Sportster fuel line in clear and the touring crossover line. Fifteen universal stainless lines in Oil Coolers & Lines are sold by length, such as the 14-inch line, with a braided fuel and oil hose by the foot as well.

Matching the part

Look for the model code, the year range and whether the title says ABS. A few titles name only a category, like "Brake Line Kit - Rear" or "Front - Kawasaki," so check the listing for your bike. Our fitment guide lists what to compare.

Goodridge questions

What do the +4 and +8 numbers mean? They are length options in the title. Compare them with your bike's setup before choosing.

Are the universal lines for Harley only? No. Lengths are listed without a bike, and a few kits are for Kawasaki, Honda and Yamaha.

Which fitting do I need? Match the thread, either 3/8" or M10 or M12, and the angle in the title.
