GIVI

GIVI Cases, Racks, Windshields and Engine Guards

GIVI is the brand to browse once you have decided how you want to carry your gear and the question becomes what bolts onto your particular bike. The catalog here is about 660 GIVI products, and most of them live in Luggage, Racks & Storage, with Windshields and Guards & Protection taking up most of the rest. Titles name the bike, so the quickest start is your model.

GIVI's Malaysian distributor writes that the company began in 1978 with Giuseppe Visenzi, a Grand Prix racer from 1962 to 1970, whose first and last names make up the brand name.

Cases and bags

Hard cases. The Outback Evo is the largest family, about 40 listings, in 33, 37, 48 and 58 liter sizes, silver or black, with left and right side cases sold separately, such as the 37 liter right side case in silver and the 58 liter top case. The Trekker 33 liter side or top case, the Dolomiti Monokey top case in 46L and the 29 liter Monolock case sit alongside them in Top Boxes & Tail Bags and Saddlebags & Panniers.

Soft bags. The Gravel-T and Canyon lines are about 16 listings, among them the Gravel-T 35 liter saddlebags, the Canyon 25L saddlebags and a Gravel-T 10 liter tank bag. Other tank bags include the 6 liter Tanklock bag, and the stainless thermal flask is listed as an accessory.

Racks, mounts and rings

Cases need a mount made for the bike. Examples are the side case mount for the V-Strom, the CB500X mount, the Outback side racks for the BMW F900 XR and the specific rear rack for the Honda CB500F. About 35 rear rack and rack bracket listings carry a bike name, among them the rear rack bracket for the BMW R 1200 GS; browse Luggage Racks for more. Tanklock rings, more than 40 of them, are sold by make, like the Suzuki ring and the Kawasaki ring.

Windshields and protection

About 85 windshield listings come in clear and smoke, such as the clear windshield for the Tiger 1200, the CB500X windshield and the smoked BMW windshield. Protection runs to engine guards, roughly 75, like the Tenere 700 guards and the Africa Twin guards, plus the BMW skid plate, hand protectors for the Africa Twin and sidestand feet for the CRF300L.

Reading a GIVI listing

The code at the start of the title is the GIVI part number, and the bike follows. Honda, BMW, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, KTM, Triumph, Ducati and Royal Enfield all appear. Cases, mounts and racks are separate parts, and left and right Outback Evo side cases are separate listings.

GIVI questions

Does a case come with its mount? Mounts and racks have their own listings that name the bike, so check that you have both before you order.

Can I buy only one side case? Yes, Outback Evo titles say Left or Right, and a few pairs, such as the Dolomiti Monokey side cases, are listed together.

Do you have windshields for adventure bikes? Yes, including the Tiger 1200, V-Strom, KTM and BMW listings above.
