Boyesen Reed Valves, Clutch Covers, Ignition Covers and Water Pump Covers

Boyesen is a two-stroke and dirt bike engine catalog, and the way in is the part type first, then your bike. We list about 710 Boyesen products, with roughly 620 under Motorcycle, about 45 under Snowmobile and about 40 under UTV | ATV. Most of the intake parts sit in Other Air Intake & Fuel Delivery, with covers in Clutch Covers and Engine Covers. Yamaha, Kawasaki and Honda are named in the most titles.

Boyesen's own site says the company was founded in 1972 by Eyvind Boyesen and makes reed induction and intake products for two-stroke engines, including motorcycles, watercraft, snowmobiles and outboards.

Reed valves and Rad Valves

This is the biggest group. About 70 titles are Rad Valve Reed Cage Assemblies, named by part number and make, such as the RAD-01A for the Honda CR125, the RAD-11 for the Kawasaki KX125 and the RAD-24I for the Suzuki RM250. Replacement reed sets are listed separately, including the RL-20 for Honda and the PSR-211 Pro Series set for the Suzuki RAD24K.

Loose reed sets come in several named lines. About 80 titles say Pro Series, like the PRO-193 for the Kawasaki KX250 and the PRO-49 for the Yamaha YZ125. About 55 are Super Stock sets in fiber or carbon, such as the SSF232 fiber set for the Yamaha YZ250 and the SSC011 carbon set for the KX125. About 50 are Racing Reeds, such as the 6110 for the CR250, and 15 are Power Reed petal sets.

Rage Cages and snowmobile reeds

About 16 titles mention Rage Cage, and 12 of them say Snowmobile, such as the RAD53-2 and the RAD84-2. The RAD86A-2 carries no snowmobile label, and the Arctic Cat entries name the machine and track length. Snowmobile reed sets, such as the 549 and the 555SF1, are in Snowmobile Air Intake & Fuel Systems.

Clutch and ignition covers

Around 150 titles are clutch covers. The Factory Racing line comes in magnesium and colors, for example the CC-01AM in magnesium for the '00-'07 Honda CR125R and the CC-38CL in blue for the '10-'23 Yamaha YZ450F. Plainer titles read Clutch Cover with a finish, like the CC-44CB in black for Gas Gas, Husqvarna and KTM.

About 65 are ignition covers: the SC-02M in magnesium for the Honda CR250R and the SC-41AM in gold for the KTM SX. Cover gaskets are sold apart, such as the CCG-46 for Husqvarna and KTM.

Water pump covers and Power Wings

About 85 titles are Impeller/Waterpump Covers in Water Pumps: the WPK-45AB for Gas Gas, Husqvarna and KTM, the WPK-37AB for Yamaha and the WPK-09R kit in red for the '07-'25 CRF150R. Sixteen listings are Power Wings, including the PW-10 for the YZ 85 and the PW-29 for Honda 250/450.

Matching a Boyesen part

Titles begin with the Boyesen part number, then the part, finish and make, and some add the model years. Where a title names only a make, open the listing and compare the part number with your engine before ordering.

Boyesen questions

Is a Rad Valve the same as a reed set? No. The Rad Valve titles say Reed Cage Assembly, while reed sets are listed on their own and some say they replace a named RAD part.

Are there parts for four-stroke bikes? Yes, the clutch, ignition and water pump covers include four-stroke models such as the CRF450R and YZ450F.
