Bassani Xhaust for Harley-Davidson

Bassani builds exhausts for Harley-Davidson, and its names tell you the shape before you open the listing: 2-into-1 systems like Road Rage and Ripper, True Duals with fishtail mufflers, Radial Sweepers, and slip-on mufflers in lengths from short to 4-1/2" cans. 2-into-1 systems. The largest group. Road Rage is the biggest line, with about 55 listings, for example the Road Rage II 2-into-1 Mid-Length system in black, the Road Rage III for M8 Touring in stainless steel, 49-State and the Road Rage for 2004-2020 Sportster. Others include the Ripper with Megaphone muffler for M8 Softail, B1 and B4 systems for touring bikes, and the FireSweep for Softail.

True Duals and Down Under. Two-pipe systems such as the True Duals with Fishtail Mufflers, 36", for Softail, the Down Under Exhaust with megaphone mufflers and True-Dual Down Under headpipes for M8.

Radial Sweepers. A swept-pipe design for several bikes: the Radial Sweepers system for Sportster 1986-2003 and the chrome Radial Sweepers system.

Slip-on mufflers. About 38 listings for riders who want to keep the stock headers: 4-1/2" slip-on mufflers in black, Megaphone slip-ons with a performance baffle, Fishtail slip-ons for 1995-2016 Touring and Firepower slip-ons for Sportster.

Parts. Replacement baffles, end caps, heat shields and headpipes are listed too, in Silencers, Mufflers & Baffles, Heat Shields & Wraps and Manifolds & Headers. Examples: the Replacement Baffle, Quiet, 2.5" and the 4" End Cap in black.

Fitment and emissions

Bassani exhausts are specific to engine and frame: M8 Softail, M8 Touring, Twin Cam Softail, Dyna (FXD) and Sportster (XL) parts are not interchangeable. Read the model and year range in each title, and note that some systems need particular controls (for example mid or forward controls on certain Sportsters). Some listings say 49-State, which refers to emissions compliance in the listing, while others do not mention it, so check the listing and your local rules before ordering.

What is the difference between Road Rage and Ripper? They are separate Bassani lines with their own part numbers and muffler choices. Compare the muffler type (megaphone, Super Bike, straight can) and length in each title.
