The Quantum-X Steel is Arai's all-around street helmet, built around the brand's core philosophy of smooth, round shapes engineered to glance off impacts rather than absorb them directly. Its PB-SCLC shell blends multiple materials and construction techniques for a strong yet affordable build, shaped to a round-oval fit for riders with wider head shapes. The Variable Axis System lowers the shield's pivot point by an average of 24 mm to smooth the critical temple area, and an improved VAS latch securely holds the shield shut while allowing intuitive, seamless operation, aided by QVF intake and QVR exhaust ducts for efficient airflow. The included VAS-Max Vision shield is Pinlock-ready with a Pinlock 120 MaxVision lens for clear, fog-free vision. A water-repellent ES chin cover comes pre-installed to smooth airflow and cut wind noise from below, and FCS cheek pads use layered foam densities to cradle the face, ease on-off, and quiet things down further. • Round oval shape, achieved by using an interior head liner that combines thicker front and rear pads with thinner side pads, is designed for riders whos heads are slightly wider rather than elongated
• Improved Glance Off Ability — Variable Axis System (VAS) shield system lowers the pivot point by an average of 24 mm, making the shell surface area in the critical temple area much smoother and better able to reduce impact energy getting into the helmet
