Protector Parts
About Protector Parts
Protector parts are the replacement pieces that keep braces and armor in working order: straps, cuffs, pad sets, cables, liners and knee pucks. Riders come here when a strap has frayed, a pad has worn flat or a liner has gone, because replacing a part is often cheaper than replacing the whole piece.
The key is matching the part to the exact product. Listings name the brace they fit, such as the X8 and the KX 2.0, and many are sold in size ranges, for example XS-SM and MD-LG, so match both the model and the size. Other listings include wrist brace liners, a child harness, hi-vis knee pucks and SAS-TEC Level 1 armor sets. Replace worn pads and straps before they stop doing their job, and follow the maker's instructions when you refit a brace.
Brands here include POD, ICON, Mobius, Scorpion EXO and SP1. Whole pieces are in Knee Protectors, Elbow & Shoulder Guards and Protector Sets, all under Protective Gear.
FAQs on brace and armor replacement parts
How do I know which strap or pad set fits my brace?
Match the brace's model name and size to the part. Listings name the brace, such as X8 or KX 2.0, and the size range. If you cannot find the model name on your brace, check its manual or the maker's parts list instead of guessing.
When should brace pads and straps be replaced?
Replace them when they are worn, compressed, cracked, frayed or no longer hold the brace in place, and after a hard impact. A worn strap or pad cannot do its job. Follow the maker's guidance for your brace.
Are cuffs and cables interchangeable between brace models?
Not usually. Cuffs, cables and strap sets are made for particular braces, and a part from a different model may not fit or may not work as intended. Match the part to your brace model and size.
Can I fit replacement parts myself?
Often, yes, using the instructions from the maker. Many parts are straps or pads that clip or bolt on. If a repair involves a hinge or a structural part, follow the maker's instructions closely, and replace the whole brace if it is damaged.
