ALPINESTARS TECH-AIR - Stella Tech-Air® 3 System - Black

Built on the same platform as the standard Tech-Air 3, the Stella version is a light, autonomous airbag system designed to be worn over or under a jacket for touring, city commuting, or light off-road adventure riding. It uses the Tech-Air 5 Street crash detection algorithm along with six integrated sensors - three accelerometers and three gyroscopes - to monitor for a crash even at a stop. An LED display shows system status and vibrates to confirm it's armed or warn of a low battery, backed by an algorithm refined over two million kilometers of riding data and 2,000-plus crashes.

• Alpinestars' crash detection triggering algorithm has been developed and refined with over 2 million kilometers of riding data and over 2000 crashes, allowing the system to accurately assess when to deploy the airbag ahead of an impact or other dangerous situation like a lowside or highside crash, and in the event that Tech-Air® 3 detects the start of a crash
• The system will activate the protective airbag in milliseconds, depending on the size of the airbag — once inflated, the airbag provides full upper body protection, keeping motorcycle riders safe by covering the rider's full chest and full back
