6D scales its full-size ATR-2 protection down for younger riders with the ATR-2Y, built around the same Omni-Directional Suspension technology to manage rotational impact forces. The shell blends aerospace carbon fiber, composite fiberglass, and Kevlar, with Cervical Spine Relief built into the rear lower shell and a Clavicle Cut-Away for collarbone clearance — safety details that matter just as much on a youth helmet. Nine intake ports and 6 exhaust ports work with the Air Gap Ventilation System to move air, and the shell stays genuinely light with an improved center of gravity. The Emergency Release Cheek Pads and Comfort Liner are removable, washable, and built from Dri-Lex anti-bacterial fabric, with titanium D-rings handling retention. A Roost Guard adds face protection and a Sternum Pad covers the chin, jaw, and sternum, with shear-away visor screws built to release under impact. In the Drive Neon Orange colorway, the ATR-2Y gives young riders adult-level rotational impact engineering in a properly sized helmet.
