The Apex graphic puts a Red finish on 6D's ATR-1, a motocross helmet engineered around Omni-Directional Suspension technology to address rotational and angular impact forces. Its shell is a proprietary woven blend of aerospace carbon fiber, composite fiberglass, and Kevlar, and the Air Flow Management system runs 8 intake ports, 13 transfer ports, and 4 aggressive exhaust ports, with a rear Delta-Vent scavenging air to aid heat transfer. A Roost Guard adds extra face protection, a Sternum Pad covers the chin, jaw, and sternum, and a Clavicle Cut-Away increases clearance around the collarbone, while emergency release cheek pads and shear-away visor screws are built in for crash scenarios. The genuine CoolMax comfort liner is anti-bacterial to handle long, sweaty motos. For riders pushing hard on the track, the ATR-1 Apex is built to back them up.
