About Other Wheel & Tire Parts
This category holds the parts that keep wheels working but are not wheels or tires themselves: wheel bearings, stud kits, spacers, rim strips, beadlock rings and track systems. Owners shop here when a wheel rumbles or wobbles, when a stud is stripped or sheared, or when they want to change how the machine travels, with tracks in place of tires.
Work out the job first. Wheel bearing kits are listed for a specific machine and year, such as the Yamaha Rhino 700 and YXZ1000R, and sealed bearings are listed by their bearing number. Wheel stud kits are listed by model too, covering ATVs and Polaris Ranger models in the listings. Rim strips are sized to the rim diameter, and the example here is a 12 in. strip sold in a pack of ten.
Beadlock rings clamp the tire bead to the wheel so the tire can be run at low pressure, and they are made for wheels designed for them, such as a 15 in. ring. Track systems for UTVs and ATVs, such as 4S1, T4S and X4S systems, are listed for particular machines, so read the fitment line and the maker's weight and use notes.
Brands here include Sedona, DEI, AMS, Zeta and WPS. Pick your machine in the Ride Finder at the top of the page for parts made for it. Related categories are Wheel Nuts, Bolts & Studs, Wheel Spacers & Adapters, Wheels and Tires, all under Wheels, Tires & Parts.
FAQs on wheel and tire accessories
How do I know if a wheel bearing is worn?
Common signs are a rumbling or grinding noise that changes with speed, play when you rock the wheel by hand with it lifted, and a wheel that feels rough when you spin it. Replace a bad bearing promptly, and check the bearing on the other side of the same axle.
What is a beadlock ring and do I need one?
A beadlock ring is a bolted ring that clamps the tire bead to the wheel, which stops the tire from slipping on the rim at low pressure. It is mostly for riders who run very low pressures, and it only works on wheels built for beadlocks.
What does a rim strip do?
A rim strip covers the inside of the rim, usually where an inner tube sits, to protect the tube from sharp edges or holes. It is sized to the rim diameter, so match the strip to your wheel and check whether your tire setup uses one.
Can I run tracks instead of tires on a UTV or ATV?
Track systems are made for specific models, so check that the kit lists your machine, then read the maker's notes on weight, use and installation. Tracks change handling and load the drivetrain differently from tires, so follow the instructions.
