THOR

Thor Motocross Gear: Jerseys, Pants, Gloves, Boots and Helmets

Thor sorts its gear by line name before garment type: Sportmode, Launchmode and Ridemode appear in more than 300 titles between them, and each name covers jerseys, pants and gloves made to match. We list about 830 Thor products, nearly all in Apparel | Protective Gear, so the line name is a quick way to build a coordinated kit.

A 2009 Racer X post carrying a Parts Unlimited and Thor press release calls Thor one of the originators of motocross apparel and dates its gear to Torsten Hallman's first US trip in 1966, which is why you will still see Hallman names on some of the items below.

Jerseys and pants

Jerseys. About 110 listings, in men's, youth and women's cuts. Examples include the Terrain Jersey, the Range Jersey, the Sportmode Strike Jersey and the Hallman Differ Cheq Jersey.

Pants. About 160 listings in Motorcycle Pants & Chaps, among them the Ridemode Menace Pants in red, the Sportmode Geo Pants and the Youth Launchmode Forge Pants. The Terrain family adds over-the-boot and in-the-boot versions, which the titles keep separate.

Gloves, boots and eyewear

Gloves. Around 130 listings in Gloves. The Launchmode and Spectrum lines are the biggest, with the Spectrum Gloves, the Launchmode Gloves, the Mainstay Slice Gloves and the Hallman GP Gloves as examples. Spectrum and Launchmode both have Cold Weather versions.

Boots. About 60 listings in Boots & Shoes, led by the Radial MX Boots and the Blitz XR Boots. The Hallman Towner Boots are a separate style, and boot spares such as replacement outsoles are listed on their own.

Goggles. About 55 titles in Eyewear across the Regiment, Activate, Combat and Ascend LTD names, including the Regiment Goggle and the Activate Goggle. Spare lenses are sold in clear, smoke and yellow.

Helmets, guards and extras

The helmets category holds about 110 Thor listings, with 35 also filed under motocross helmets. Titles show the Reflex Sport Helmet in Carbon Brave with MIPS and the Fleet Helmet in Blackout, plus helmet parts such as liners, cheek pads and visor kits.

In Protective Gear are the Guardian and Sentinel roost guards, like the Sentinel Pro Guard and the Sentry Stealth Guard, and knee guards. The rest is hats, T-shirts, the Hydrant Pack and Total Vision System mudflaps.

Sizing and fit

Titles carry the cut: men's is the default, with about 140 Youth and 60 Women's listings marked in the name. Some pants list a US waist size in the title, such as US 30 or US 24 for youth, while others carry the colors only, so open the listing for the sizes offered before ordering.

Thor questions

What is the difference between Sportmode and Launchmode? They are separate line names, each covering jerseys, pants and gloves, so match the line name when you want a set to coordinate.

Do you carry youth sizes? Yes, about 140 titles say Youth, including jerseys, pants, gloves, helmets and guards.

Are the helmets certified? We can only repeat what a listing states, so check each helmet's specs, and see our helmet standards guide for what the labels mean.
