SW-MOTECH
SW-MOTECH Luggage Systems, Racks and Crash Protection
SW-MOTECH catalog pages read like a parts diagram: one luggage family, one mounting method, one bike. We list about 1,100 SW-MOTECH products, mostly in Luggage, Racks & Storage, with crash bars and sliders in Guards & Protection. The most useful filter is your bike, since BMW, Honda, Triumph, Yamaha, KTM, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Ducati each have dozens of listings.
SW-MOTECH's own history page says the company was founded in 1999 in Bracht, Germany, by Jörg Diehl, Kai Jockel and Jürgen Swora, and now has its head office in Rauschenberg.
Hard cases
TRAX ADV. The aluminum family is the largest, with about 130 case-system listings and 80 top-case systems in black or silver. Examples are the TRAX ADV case system for the Honda NC750 X, the Suzuki V-Strom 1050 DE system and the top case system for the Honda Africa Twin.
DUSC and Adventure Luggage. About 100 DUSC listings cover single cases such as the 33 liter DUSC hard case and full systems like the KTM Adventure/SMT set. The roughly 80 Adventure Luggage System listings bundle more, such as the KTM Super Adventure R/S system.
Soft bags and tank mounts
SysBag and Rackpack. About 100 SysBag side-bag listings include the Yamaha XSR900 side bag system and the KTM Duke 790/890 system. The Rackpack tail bag systems, about 65, include one for the Suzuki Hayabusa and one for the Moto Guzzi V85 TT.
Tank rings and bags. Rings are sold by make, such as the ION ring for Triumph and the PRO ring for the Yamaha MT. Pair one with a Legend Gear magnetic tank bag or the ION One tank bag. Browse Tank Bags & Flanges for the rest.
Carriers and racks
Cases and bags attach to a rack made for the bike, and each is its own listing. The ADVENTURE-RACK for the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT and the Suzuki V-Strom 650/1000/1050 rack belong to a family of about 40. STREET-RACK titles, such as the Ducati Multistrada, number about 30. Side carriers split into SLC, like the left-side SLC for the Triumph Thruxton RS, and EVO, like the EVO carrier for the BMW 1200 GS. More are under Luggage Racks.
Crash bars and sliders
About 30 crash bar listings include the Honda CB500X bar and the BMW 1250 GS/R/RS bar. Frame slider kits such as the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 kit and axle sliders like the Triumph Tiger rear set run to about 45 listings; see Skids, Plates & Sliders.
Reading a SW-MOTECH title
The code at the start is the SW-MOTECH part number, then the product family, finish and bike with year range. Case, rack and bag systems are separate pieces that fit together by family, so adapter kits and lock sets are listed on their own, such as the TRAX lock set of 7 matching locks.
SW-MOTECH questions
Does a case system include the rack? Check the title. Racks and carriers are separate listings that name the bike, so confirm you have both.
What do the silver and black options mean? They are the finish named in the title, for example TRAX ADV top case systems in Black or Silver.
Where do I look if my bike has a different year? Match the year range at the end of the title, as the same model can have several listings.
