SP1 Snowmobile Parts: Pistons, Cables, Carbides and Shocks

SP1 is a snowmobile parts counter. Of the roughly 1,250 SP1 products we list, about 1,210 sit under Snowmobile, and the remainder is fuel filters, tools, cable ties and similar small items that also fit motorcycles, ATVs and personal watercraft. Engine parts

Snowmobile Engine Components is the biggest shelf at about 445 listings. Pistons account for roughly 280 titles, many marked T-Moly, like the T-Moly piston for '93-'00 Ski-Doo Formula 500 Deluxe and the T-Moly piston for '90-'99 Polaris Classic Touring. About 90 piston ring sets, such as the rings for '97-'04 Yamaha VMAX 700, sit beside them. There are around 50 full gasket sets, among them the full gasket set for '08-'10 Ski-Doo Z 800 R. Cylinders and cylinder kits, a few dozen in all, include the cylinder kit for '00-'10 Ski-Doo Formula Deluxe 600. Starter pawl kits, such as the Yamaha Mountain Max 700 kit, are filed here too.

Carbides, wear bars and suspension

Skis & Runners holds about 120 listings. The carbide lines carry names in the title: Slasher Six60, Ripper Four75 and PR/X2 Six60 double carbide. See the Slasher Six60 carbides for Polaris Classic Touring and Pro X and the Ripper Four75 carbides for Ski-Doo. About 35 Defender wear bars, like the Arctic Cat Thundercat wear bar, are listed by brand.

Shocks & Suspension has about 105 listings, including gas shocks marked center or rear, such as the rear gas shock for '02-'07 Polaris SwitchBack.

Cables, controls and electrical

Handlebars & Mirrors is mostly cables: close to 90 throttle cable titles, written by brand, like the throttle cable for '11-'18 Ski-Doo Expedition Sport 550F. A dozen heated finger throttles, such as the one for '11-'22 Polaris Pro-RMK 800, fill out the category. In Electrical Components are CDIs, external coils and spark plug wire, such as the CDI for '09-'20 Ski-Doo MX-Z 600.

Belts, brakes, fuel and covers

Clutch & Drive Belts lists about 50 items. The Hi-Torque belts are sized in inches in the title, such as the 42.75" x 1.25" belt, and clutch rollers are sold separately. Brake pads come by brand in Brakes. Air Intake & Fuel Systems includes the 1/4" fuel filter, and the blue fuel/primer line is filed with motorcycle fuel hoses. About 47 snowmobile covers are sold for specific brands or as the universal trailerable snow bike cover.

Matching an SP1 part to your sled

Read the sled brand code in the title (POL, S-D, A/C, YAM) and the model years that follow, then check the track length, such as "w/137 Track," where one is given.

SP1 questions

Are pistons and rings sold together? No. Pistons, ring sets, pins and bearings have separate listings, and the cylinder kit is a different part again.

How are Hi-Torque belts sized? The title gives length and width in inches, such as 42.75" x 1.25", so measure the old belt and match both numbers.

Do you list parts for other machines? A small group, about 85 titles, is filed under motorcycle, UTV | ATV and personal watercraft, mostly fuel filters, tools and accessories.
