MOTO-MASTER

Moto-Master Sprockets, Brake Rotors, Pads and Brake Lines

Moto-Master splits cleanly into two shelves: the sprockets at either end of the chain, and the brake parts behind the wheel. We list about 805 Moto-Master products, all under Motorcycle, with roughly 497 in Sprockets, 141 in Brake Disc Rotors and 85 in Brake Pads. KTM, Husqvarna and Gas Gas appear in the most titles, followed by Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda and Kawasaki, with a Harley-Davidson run of about 55 listings.

Athena's corporate page on the brand says Moto-Master was started in 1997 by Gaston Vernon, is a Dutch brand, and makes aftermarket braking components for motorcycles in the Netherlands.

Sprockets and chains

Rear sprockets. The largest group is about 217 titled 7075 Aluminum Rear Sprocket, such as the 85cc TM MX85 sprocket and the DR-Z400 sprocket. About 125 are Fusion Series Dual Ring rear sprockets, among them the Honda CRF250R/450R version, and about 69 carry the plain Rear Sprocket name, like the Yamaha WR250X and YZ-FX sprocket and the YZ65 sprocket. Several tooth counts are listed separately for the same bike, so the part number at the front of the title is what separates them.

Front sprockets. About 86 listings, for example the Kawasaki and Yamaha 450 front and the KTM and Husqvarna 85 SX front.

Chains and hardware. A dozen drive chains run from the Basic Series through V2, V4 and V6 to the GPX and GPX-N. Two sprocket bolt kits are listed, Japanese and Euro.

Brake rotors

Most rotor listings are titled Brake Rotors and name the machine, such as the Honda CRF450 rotor, the Gas Gas, Husqvarna and KTM EXC rotor and the Kawasaki and Suzuki KLX250 rotor. The Flame Series rotor kits, nine in all, include the Yamaha YZ250FX and YZ450FX kit and the Kawasaki KLX450R kit. For Harley-Davidson there are named styles: the Tulsa Fixed, the Rialto Fixed and the Flame Fixed, plus a V-Rod rotor. Rotor bolts, such as the Honda CR/XR set, are separate listings.

Pads, lines and calipers

Pads. About 52 are titled Sintered Brake Pads, among them the KTM and Husqvarna 85 SX pads and an ATV set for Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha and Honda. The RoadPro line, about 20 listings, covers Harley-Davidson, such as the Softail pads and the Electra Glide pads, and Indian Scout models are named in the front pad set.

Brake lines. Thirty listings, such as the Honda CRF450 line and the EXC line for Gas Gas, Husqvarna and KTM.

Calipers and small parts. Brake Calipers & Brackets has twelve, mostly MXC calipers like the Honda CRF450 caliper and the Yamaha WR/YZ caliper, along with the MXJ rear caliper and pad kit. Pad pins, caliper adapters and retainer clips fill in the rest.

Reading a Moto-Master title

Each title opens with the part number, then the product name, the year range and the models. Check the year range and the model list, since one bike can have several sprocket tooth counts or rotor styles.
