Gaerne boots are a good place to start if you already know the model you want and mostly need to find it in your size and colorway. Gaerne's own company page says the brand was founded in 1962 in Coste di Maser, in the Italian province of Treviso, by master shoemaker Ernesto Gazzola, and that the name comes from the initials of his name.

SG22 and SG12

SG22. This is the biggest family, about 14 listings, priced at roughly $630 for most colors. Plain colorways include the SG22 in black, size 7, the white and the black/white. Limited-edition (LE) titles include the Magma MJK, the Jarvis 50th Anniversary and the Gore-Tex Enduro LE in red/black/grey.

Reading a Gaerne title

The model name comes first, then the color, then the size. "LE" means limited edition, and a name like Chameleon or Future Dusk is the colorway. Sizes appear as 7, 8, 9 or 07, 08, 09 depending on the listing, so check the final number before you order. Only a few sizes of each color are listed at a time.
