EVS Knee Braces, Roost Guards and Protective Gear
Most EVS listings are about one job: padding and bracing the parts of a rider that hit the ground first. We list about 64 EVS products, nearly all in Protective Gear, plus a handful of base layers, socks and jerseys. Titles end with the size, so the work is picking the family and then the fit.
EVS's own About page says its story begins in 1985 and calls the AMX-5 the industry's first motocross-specific knee brace.
Knee braces, pads and guards
The Knee Protectors category holds 17 EVS listings. About ten are braces, among them the SX01 knee brace, the SX02 knee brace, the Axis Pro pair, the Axis Sport pair, the Web Eclipse pair and the RS9. Two Genesis braces are made for younger riders, such as the Genesis Youth knee brace in YS/YM.
Pads and guards are separate styles. See the Hex Pro knee and shin guard, the TP199 knee/shin guard in black and hi-vis, the Slayco96 knee pad, the Epic knee pad and the KS199 knee support. The Option knee pads come in Mini, Youth and Adult.
Roost guards and chest protection
Chest Protectors has 14 EVS listings. The F2 roost deflector is the largest, in black and white and sold by weight band in the title, such as the Large for 140-190 lbs and the Youth under 75 lbs. Other names are the Revo 5 roost guard, the Revo 4, the F1 roost protector and the Youth Bantam deflector.
Elbows, shoulders, neck and wrists
Elbow & Shoulder Guards lists ten, including the Flex Lite elbow guard, the Epic elbow pad, the Option elbow pads and the SB04 shoulder brace. The RC4 race collar comes in adult and youth, and the WB01 wrist brace and brace sleeves are filed in Other Protective Gear.
Under-layers and jerseys
The Base Layers & Underwear shelf has seven EVS pieces: tug shirts in short, long and sleeveless cuts, vented shorts, padded shorts and Moto boxers. Ballistic jerseys, such as the G7 jersey, and the CTR vest round it out.
Matching size and fit
Read the size at the end of each title: Mini, Youth and Adult for the Option pads, SM/MD or LG/XL for guards, and weight bands for the F2. Knee braces are listed by letter size and some are sold as a pair, so check the title before ordering.
EVS questions
Are the braces sold as pairs? It depends on the model. The Axis and Web Eclipse titles say pair, while others, like the SX01, do not.
Do you list youth sizes? Yes. Genesis braces, Bantam and F2 deflectors, TP199 guards and Option pads have youth sizes.
Which roost guard is which size? The F2 titles give a weight range such as 75-140 lbs. Other guards use size letters.
