EMGO

EMGO Mirrors, Handlebars, Filters and Replacement Parts

More than a third of the EMGO catalog is mirrors, so that is where most shoppers start. We list about 940 EMGO products, nearly all under Motorcycle. Around 360 are in Mirror Assemblies, with handlebars, air and oil filters, shift levers and ignition parts making up most of the rest. Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki show up in the most titles, and about 50 listings are marked Universal.

A 2006 Powersports Business profile of founder Emil Gomez describes EMGO International as a company with offices in the United States, Taiwan and Thailand that supplies aftermarket parts for American and imported motorcycle brands.

Mirrors

Titles give the shape, the finish, the side and often the stem length or thread. About 200 say Rectangle, roughly 40 Oval, 38 Round, 27 Polygon and 14 Cat Eye. The round side-view mirror in polished, the round chrome mirror with a 4-inch stem, the black rectangle mirror and the black polygon mirror show the range.

Cruiser sets use named styles, like the "Big One" rectangle pair in chrome, M10 x 1.25, the El Chico pair and the Maltese cross mirror. Other versions include a carbon fiber mirror, an oval mirror with integrated turn signals, a polygon mirror with integrated lighting and a bar end mirror. OEM-style replacements are labeled that way, such as the cat eye replacement and the rectangle replacement in chrome. A smaller group sits under UTV | ATV mirrors.

Handlebars, grips and controls

Handlebars has about 105 listings, named by tube diameter, style and height: 1-inch ape hangers in 12 to 18 inches, 7/8-inch chopper bars, low rise and custom wide versions and 1-inch T-bars, including a dimpled black one. Aluminum risers come in 7/8-inch and 1-1/8-inch sizes. Grips include the Roadhawk set and Star Fire flake grips, with Pro-Guard handguards and a dual cable throttle assembly alongside. Replacement levers cover bikes like the Hayabusa and Ninja.

Air, oil and fuel filters

Air Filters has about 85 listings named by make, such as the Honda, Yamaha and Polaris filters, plus universal clamp-on pods by inner diameter, like the 45 mm and 48 mm. About 70 oil filters are split between Oil Filters and the UTV | ATV version. Some name one make, like the BMW and the Can-Am and John Deere, and others cover several, like the Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha. There are also oil filter bolts.

Shifters, ignition, exhaust and lighting

About 40 shift levers include folding versions for dirt bikes such as the gold one for the XR400R. Ignition Coils has about 19, among them a 12 V universal dual lead coil, and there are ignition switches. Mufflers number about 20, such as the 26-inch megaphone, the Dunstall wide mouth and the Roadhawk oval. Retro lighting and shocks round it out: the 5 3/4-inch headlight, a chrome taillight and plate mount and Classic shocks.

Matching an EMGO part

The code after the brand name is the EMGO part number. Mirrors name the side, so check Left, Right or Left/Right, and for universal mirrors compare the thread size and stem length. Filters and levers name the make, and some also the model.

EMGO questions

Are mirrors sold in pairs? Some are listed as a pair, others as Right or Left. The title says which.

What does Universal mean? The title carries no bike model. Check the thread size, handlebar diameter or inner diameter against your bike.

Do you list EMGO parts for ATVs? A smaller group, mostly oil filters and mirrors, is under UTV | ATV.
