AKRAPOVIC

Akrapovič Exhaust Systems and Parts

Akrapovič builds exhausts in titanium, carbon fiber and stainless steel, and the catalog here leans toward sport, naked and adventure bikes from BMW, Yamaha, Kawasaki and Honda, with Suzuki, Triumph and Ducati fitments mixed in. We list about 350 Akrapovič products, most of them in Exhaust & Emission Systems.

According to its Wikipedia entry, Igor Akrapovič founded the company in 1990 in Ivančna Gorica, Slovenia, and it casts its own titanium parts in a foundry at that site.

How the Akrapovič lines are sorted

Slip-On Line. The largest group, with about 60 listings. A slip-on swaps the stock muffler and keeps the rest of the system. Our listings cover titanium, carbon fiber and black titanium finishes, for example the Slip-On Line mufflers in titanium black for the Suzuki GSX-1300R Hayabusa and the Slip-On Line muffler in carbon fiber and titanium.

Racing Line. About two dozen complete systems, such as the Racing Line system in titanium for the Yamaha R9 and the carbon fiber Racing Line for the Yamaha MT-07.

Evolution. Around twenty full exhausts, including the Evolution Line system in titanium and carbon fiber for the Aprilia RSV4 and the Evolution system for the Yamaha YZF-R1. There is also an Evolution Line system in titanium for the Honda CRF450R and CRF450RX.

Headers, link pipes and the small parts

Akrapovič parts are sold one at a time, which helps if you only need to replace what wore out or bent.

Match the part to your bike

Many Akrapovič listings are titled with the part number, the line and the material, and only some name the motorcycle, so do not guess from the title alone. Open the product page and check the Fitment tab or the Ride Finder for your model and year. If a model is listed with a long range of years or two sub-models, read the description before ordering. Replacement noise dampers, end caps and brackets are tied to a specific muffler, so match the part number to the one on your exhaust.

Akrapovič questions

What is the difference between a slip-on and a full system? A slip-on replaces the muffler; a full system also replaces the header and link pipes. Our slip-on vs full exhaust guide walks through the trade-offs.

What are the exhausts made of? The listing names the material, most often titanium, carbon fiber, stainless steel, or a mix such as titanium with a carbon fiber end cap.

Can I buy just a replacement sticker, bracket or end cap? Yes, they are listed as separate parts.

Will the exhaust change the sound or need a tune? That depends on the bike and the system. Read the listing for sound and ECU notes and check local noise and emissions rules before you buy.
